How does the Tournament Work?
There are four events to choose from – MEN'S PAIRS(x2), MEN’S SINGLES & MIXED PAIRS.
Men’s Pairs - CONGU ‘Active’
Men’s Singles - CONGU ‘Active’
Mixed Pairs – CONGU ‘Active’ & ‘Non Active’
Men’s Pairs – CONGU ‘Non Active’ & Strokes Golf Handicap
Entry costs just £25 per person (£50 per pair). You can also enter more than one event (providing you have the relevant handicap certificate).
Entrants are drawn against other competitors from their region and given either a home or away tie. Players are notified and given a date by which they must play their round with the winner responsible for informing the organiser of the result. ‘Courtesy of the Course’ is often granted for the qualifying rounds however any green fees due are are shared equally between each competitor. A popular reason for entering the event is that it provides an opportunity to play competitive golf at several different courses either free of charge or at a fraction of the normal green fee.
After the knockout stages there will be two Regional Finals March 2013 which will be played in better ball stableford format with 40 lucky golfers winning through to the Grand Final at The Els Club, Dubai in May 2013.
The Grand Final itinerary is simply wonderful. It includes:
- International return flights to Dubai
- A practice day plus 3 days of competition at The Els Club, Dubai
- 7 nights accommodation at the magnificent Marriott Courtyard Dubai
- Prize giving Gala Dinner
